Muzaffer Kanaan is an Associate Professor of Mechatronics Engineering at Erciyes University, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2009. He obtained his B.S. degree from the Eastern Mediterranean University (Famagusta, North Cyprus) in 1994, M.S. degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2008, all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 1997 to 2008, he was with Verizon Laboratories (Waltham, Massachusetts, USA), where he was involved in various research and development projects in the area of wireless and fiber-optic communications, resulting in five granted US patents with another three pending. His research interests are mainly in the areas of wireless capsule endoscopy, wearable technologies, and application of wireless communication technology for health and wellness.

Parvaneh Esmaili is currently Lecturer in Computer Engineering Department at Cyprus International University. Prior to her recent appointment at the CIU, she was a lecturer in Electric-Electronic Department at Near East University and Computer Engineering Department at Girne American University. Dr. Parvaneh Esmaili received her undergraduate in Software Engineering from IRAN AZAD University as well as her master’s degree in Hardware Engineering from the same University and her P.hD in Computer Science at University Teknologi Malaysia in Synchronize control of multiple robot manipulators. Dr. Parvaneh Esmaili published a number of papers in preferred Journals and chapters in books. Also. she presented various academic as well as research-based papers at several national and international conferences. Her current research is on the Deep Learning based classification methods on signals such as EEG signals.
